These terms explain what Relax Remodel Consulting does, what contractors remain responsible for, and how SMS updates work when you ask us to contact you.

What Relax Remodel Consulting does

Relax Remodel Consulting provides homeowner advisory services such as project-intake review, scope planning, budget guidance, contractor-fit discussion, contractor introductions, bid review, and project advocacy from the homeowner side of the table.

Relax Remodel Consulting is not the contractor. We do not perform construction work, supervise jobsite labor, pull permits, provide engineering, provide legal advice, or make contractor warranty commitments.

Contractors are independent businesses

We may introduce participating contractors from our network based on geography, project type, and availability. Those contractors are independent businesses. We do not vet, certify, endorse, guarantee, or verify contractor qualifications, pricing, schedule, staffing, workmanship, warranty terms, or construction methods.

We do not guarantee contractor performance, availability, pricing, timelines, workmanship, or project outcome.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing contractor proposals, asking questions, checking license or insurance information when applicable, reading any agreement before signing, and deciding whether a contractor is right for your home.

Planning ranges and advisory notes are not firm construction prices. Contractors provide firm construction pricing after reviewing the project, site conditions, and final scope.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, process descriptions, planning materials, website content, and brand materials created by Relax Remodel Consulting belong to Relax Remodel Consulting unless we state otherwise in writing.

You may use materials we provide for your own remodel planning. You may not copy, resell, publish, or use our content as a competing service without written permission.

Disclaimers

Our advisory work is meant to help you make better-informed decisions. It is not a promise that a project will be problem-free, on budget, on schedule, or completed to a particular standard by an independent contractor.

Homes can hide conditions that are not visible during early planning. Materials, labor availability, weather, permitting, existing construction quality, and contractor operations can all affect a project after advisory work begins.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Relax Remodel Consulting is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or contractor-caused damages related to your project or your use of our website or advisory services.

If a dispute arises involving our advisory services, liability is limited to the amount you paid Relax Remodel Consulting for the specific advisory service connected to the dispute, unless Kansas law requires otherwise.

SMS terms

If you provide your phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Relax Remodel Consulting about your inquiry. Message frequency is up to 5 messages per inquiry. Message and data rates may apply.

Texts may include scheduling, intake follow-up, consultation reminders, and direct responses to your request. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. SMS consent is not required to buy advisory services.

Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other mobile network operators, are not liable for delayed, undelivered, or misdelivered SMS messages sent to or from Relax Remodel Consulting. Carriers may delay or fail to deliver messages due to network conditions, device limitations, account status, or other factors beyond the control of Relax Remodel Consulting or the carrier.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Relax Remodel Consulting is not responsible for carrier-related delays or delivery failures
  • Wireless carriers are not parties to your communication with us and have no liability for any SMS message content, frequency, or delivery
  • You are responsible for verifying that your wireless plan supports SMS messaging and any message and data rate charges that apply
  • If a message is not delivered, you should not assume the underlying request or notification has been received or acted upon

Age Restriction

Relax Remodel Consulting's services, including SMS messaging, are intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. By submitting your phone number or consenting to receive SMS messages, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you are under 18, please do not submit any personal information to Relax Remodel Consulting or sign up for SMS messaging. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided information to us should contact toby@relaxremodelconsulting.com.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
